Exploring the world through creating.

Amy Maloney was born in Gander, Newfoundland, in late summer of 1993. As a child, Amy was drawn to all things creative and natural. Their love for creating and nature remains; they spend the majority of their free time either creating in their paint/plant room, adventuring outside (usually with their Newfoundland dog, George), or spending time with their family (four cats, one dog, and one amazing supportive husband).

Graduating from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Nursing, Amy’s nursing career has brought them to working with individuals at all stages of health, life, and learning.

While Amy does not have a professional education in fine arts, they have been practising with traditional media throughout their life, and have been recently practising their skills with oil painting. Their art practice involves observation of the natural world, and capturing these moments through art.

Amy is presently working as a Registered Nurse and is creating from their little home studio surrounded by the many many plants they have accumulated.
